Merit Engineers will be conducting a scheduled maintenance to upgrade software on a distribution switch.

WCRESA's MISEN Internet and MISEN Intranet connectivity will be interrupted during the reboot needed for the upgrade. The expected downtime is 5 minutes.

Report on the Merit software update – approx 30 mins of outage (5 minutes was anticipated) as a result of an issue between Managed Way and Cogent networks. Detailed timeline below: - Merit/SEN router was rebooting from 5:40PM to 5:45PM Wednesday evening – Internet traffic directed through AT&T and Merit, no loss of Internet - 5:45PM connected back to the MISEN/Managed Way for Internet, it is the preferred route - 5:45PM – 6:20PM A routing loop in the Cogent/Managed Way network caused unpredictable Internet access, working to troubleshoot - 6:20PM – 6:55PM – Set Internet routing through Merit and AT&T while problem was investigated - 6:55PM – Re-established Internet connection through MISEN/Managed Way, AT&T and Merit available if needed, no routing loops
